We encourage you to consider those persons who have demonstrated a commitment through service over many years to the church and our local community, as well as those who have made specific achievements for the betterment of the church over the last year.
There is a plaque on the second-floor hallway, where you pick up your Upper Way copies, with the recipients since 2001. Look for it, and consider your fellow members who work diligently and with grace to enrich FUMC Gastonia. We are occasionally asked who has received Lay Person Awards, so the list is below. As I scan this, I can think of so many individuals and couples who should be recognized, and I bet you can, too. You can make that happen!

The award will be presented at the 11:00 am on October 20th, which is Laity Sunday.
