The Sr-Hi Youth will be heading to Fort Collins, Colorado this summer to learn about housing insecurity.

Our trip to Fort Collins is all about rolling up your sleeves and learning how housing and homelessness affect real people. The trip will be based at Heartside Hill where you'll split your days between hands-on service and eye-opening learning opportunities. Your group might help to build affordable housing, share a meal at a home that provides housing for adults with intellectual disabilities, serve breakfast to the unhoused community, or work to support families experiencing homelessness in a variety of ways. Together, we'll dive into conversations that unpack the bigger picture of how housing affordability, systemic injustice, and community care are all connected. Through guest speakers, simulations, and visits to places that tell the story of these issues, you will leave not just with sore muscles and full hearts, but with tools to advocate for change back home.
