UMW Purpose

The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participating in the global ministries of the church.

The FUMC unit consists of 9 circles:

  • Meets the 1st Monday each month @ 10:30 a.m. in the church parlor or homes
  • 60+ age women- Social, educational and service

  • Meets the 3rd Monday @ 2:30 pm Assembly Room at Covenant Village
  • Ongoing study of the women of the Bible, fellowship & short program

  • Meets the 1st Monday @ 7:00 pm in the church parlor Social, educational, and mission for women of all ages

  • Fellowship, mission, and service for women 55+ and all ages welcome

  • Service Projects, members of all ages


General meetings are held every other month as either a luncheon meeting or a dinner meeting. If needed, childcare can be provided. Circle members participate in decorating and serving at the general meetings and annually rotate the months for refurbishing the pew pockets in the sanctuary.
