We will be partnering with Carolina Cross Connection to serve children's homes in San Pedro Sula. We will serve in Private Children's Homes in San Pedro Sula and surrounding communities through painting, small building projects, and investing in the lives of the kids who live in the Homes. This is an opportunity to breakdown stereotypes and barriers between our cultural perception and the reality of Central America and in their place find a global community.
Spots are filled on a first come, first serve basis, and are open to ALL youth and adults. The 1st deposit is $300. The total cost of the trip is $2,100, but thanks to previous fundraising efforts, each participant is only expected to pay $1,500 (before additional fundraising).

$600 For Plane Tickets (Due Dec. 1)
$600 For Project Supplies, Bus Rental (March 1)
$600 For Program Supplies, Staffing, Food, Bag Fees, Visa (May 15)
** ALL of these payments will go through our finance office. Checks must be written out to First UMC Gastonia. FUMC will then make payments to CCC.
Extra costs per person:
- Passport (www.uspassportnow.com) 15 Years & Under around $140; 16+ around $170 (Passport must not expire before July 10, 2024)
- Typhoid Shots/Pills Approx $90
- Spending Money (up to each family)
- Money for Food at airports on Travel Days (Approx $40)
